I am looking at a Finnish baby box instead of a Moses basket. Always liked the idea long before I was pregnant. Just wondering if anyone else has experience of using one? Best place to purchase one as there are a few website selling them now? What do you put them on? As doesn’t appear to have a ‘stand’ like a Moses basket?

Finnish baby box advice
Apparently there's a Facebook page for people wanting to sell theirs. I would imagine you put it on the floor or in the cot were they will eventually stay. I'm not sure how long you keep them in it for (Moses basket really don't last v long!) but you need to make sure it's ins stable surface so there's no chance of them falling off anything high (ESP if you have pets/other children!)
For those of us in Scotland, we are been given a baby box -globalcitizen.org/en/conten...
I'm due in February and looking forward to receiving it. I had thought about placing it inside the cot so that it's not directly on the floor. My fear is getting up during the night and tripping over it.
I haven't yet had the experience of using it, but have bought a Finnish baby box ready for when mine arrives. I'm really pleased with the box & its contents. I went with the Finnish Baby Box company as the majority of the reviews have been so positive. finnishbabybox.com/uk/en
I plan to have it next to my bed on the floor, but they do say it can go higher up on something as long as you make sure it can't fall off when the baby wriggles around.
Hello,
I've bought the Finnish Baby box finnishbabybox.com/int/en for my little one. We've got the Neutral Genre one and we loved it. It arrived very quick.
It comes with a lot of basics for your baby, of coure, you can always buy more bits but it gives you an idea about what you can get if you0re a first mum as I was when I bought it.
The box, first, was in the baby cot in our same room. Its wide and comes with a mattres. It was perfect for our premature baby. You can move the box throughyour home as it's made of thick cardboard.
I won't recommend it if you have animals, as it's wider, they can pop in! It doesn't have a stand. I was living in a small flat so I could move the box to the living room-bedroom when I needed to. Or have it in the floor, next to the sofa with me.
Hope this helps!
Hi,
I got mine free from the baby box University babyboxuniversity.com.
We used ours for a little ones first 6 weeks and it was brilliant. The only place she would sleep for a while. We put ours in our chicco next to me cot.

Just checked out baby box university and signed up but looks like my nhs Hospital aren’t part of the programme. I’m still going to look through some of the modules though they look helpful for a first time mum. Thank you!
No problem. Some are quite helpful. They are rolling the baby boxes out over all the areas. If you have Facebook you can join their page and it will tell you if/when they are rolling them out in your area. They didn’t roll it out in mine until May and my little one was due in August so you never know. Good luck x
