My lb is 7 months soon and has slept from 7/8 pm to 6am up until a week ago. He now cries out every hour and up at 4am for a bottle. I think he is teething but I’ve been saying that for about two weeks now and no teeth have appeared. He is grumpy and hates lying down but he can’t sit up yet and is only happy when he is getting carried around. I’ve heard about sleep regressions but not at 6 months. Any ideas ladies?x

6 month old waking up all night and grumpy during day
Every baby is different, my LG went through this at 7 months, was waking up during the night, teething. We ended up giving her milk (she stopped her night feed at 5 weeks) this only lasted 1 week though.
She is now 8 months and is a right pain going to bed, screams out crying and will only settle on us x
Goodness, I look forward to that as he is a nightmare trying to get him to sleep. I suppose I’ve had it reasonably easy until this point so it’s a shock to the system. My LB has slept 10 mins today and just fallen asleep after our third walk😩. X
Ah bless you, have you tried any teething products?
We have been very lucky, LG is fine during the day will sleep normally, just started at night time, think it’s separation anxiety. She slept in our with me all night, and slept like a log. Hopefully it’s just a phase.
I’m sure your little boy is just a phase aswell, such as sleep regression. It’s so hard when your tired and they are grumpy and tired aswell, it really is hard work, but just remember you doing a good job mummy x
Thank you. It’s taken 40 mins so far tonight and no matter what we do, he is still crying and screaming. I actually don’t know what to do to comfort him anymore😭. He is constantly overtired as it’s taking so long to get him to sleep, then he will wake up screaming. I’ve checked temp etc and that’s fine and used bonjela. It’s so upsetting to see him in this state.xx
My little girl has just had her milk and is asleep on me, dreading putting her down soon. But we are being strict tonight and just gonna leave her, it’s gonna break my heart, but she got too learn.
We will be in the same situation, she slept with me last night, I don’t want her too get in the habit or knowing when she cry’s we will see and and put in bed with us. I don’t want that.
I suppose we have had it very easy from day 1 and when these phases come they like too test us.
Looks like we are all in the same situation as it must be a phase as all around the similar age.
It’s so hard isn’t it. I’m off to bed myself now to get some sleep before the nightshift starts ha ha. Took us well over an hour to get him to sleep and had to resort to white noise which I’m trying to stop using. But needs must some times. Hope your LG sleeps better tonight.xx
Its tough going im in similiar situation
Very tough going. I kept the white noise on all night and the first wake up we had was 5am. I sat and cuddled him and just fed him now. Hoping he will fall asleep on me after this. I’m actually dreading the battle for the day ahead but I did get a decent sleep so can’t complain. I hope you’ve managed to get more sleep.xx
Well LG cried when I put her into bed, we was strict and left her to cry, scream whinge, she done that for 10 mins, then was asleep. She woke at, 2.30 crying, changed her nappy had cuddle and put too bed, she sat up crying but just left her to it. She is still in her bed now, as was a much better night. x
My little boy is 6.5 months and had slept through the night up until the last few weeks he’s started waking for a bottle. I’m not really sure what it is, I’d guess probably teething as his 2nd tooth has just come through but he never did it with his 1st tooth 🤷🏼♀️x
I thought teething but there is nothing through yet unless it’s on the way. Today/last night has been a total nightmare . I’m actually dreading tonight and tomorrow.xx
My little boy suffers for weeks when he’s getting a tooth through so it could be that. He always gets one and then the one on the opposite side takes about another 3 weeks to come so I think he’s just in discomfort with them for ages.
Have you recently started him on solids? Just wondered whether he might be struggling to digest his food a bit?
I wrote a very similar thread on here when my boy was coming up to 7 months and his sleep had got worse again (it had always been bad but went through a particularly bad spell at that time). Not sure I ever worked
out for certain exactly what it was but I know he did get some teeth not long after...
Yeah he is on solids or should I say purée at the moment. And I’ve been giving him the odd vegetables or fruit to munch on himself as a snack throughout the day. When I say munch on he just licks it at the moment. These pesky teeth. I can’t wait to see one come through ha ha. What a shame as it must be so uncomfortable for them.xx
