How long have you been trying for? If its longer than a year your doctor may be able to refer you for fertility investigation. Good luck x

same boat. I hope it happens for you soon. I'm having my man do a fertility check up as I was told before my ovaries look good. It could be him or timing. I also use a period tracker on my phone that times ovulation dates. Hope it happens for you soon!

I felt like that. Had so many negative tests and felt heart broken each time. After a year we were referred to the fertility clinic and had some tests which showed problems with both of us. They booked me in for a hycosy scan and said we'd be referred for IVF after this. About 6 weeks before the scan I got a positive pregnancy test! I couldn't believe it and had to take several more tests before it sunk in. I'm now over 28 weeks pregnant and still can hardly believe it!

It's so tough when it keeps not happening but stay hopeful that you will get there. Make sure you are looking after yourself, physically and mentally, and speak to your doctor if you have been trying for a year or more. Best of luck and I hope you get your little miracle soon too.

If you've got a lot of weight to lose then I would say do that before trying to get pregnant. I was overweight when I got pregnant, but had lost half a stone before I fell pregnant.

By the end of my pregnancy it was really hard work to do much and would have been so much easier if I'd started at a healthier weight.

Some other things that my weight affected.

I couldn't go to the birth centre of my choice because my BMI didn't meet their criteria.

I ended up with gestational diabetes so I had to cut out all carbs and sweets. I had to test my blood 4 times a day and go to numerous diabetes appointments, which meant a lot of travelling and time off work.

It was a lot of extra stress about the baby having low blood sugar at birth and being a big baby due to excess sugar going to them.

I'm now being tested to see if the diabetes might be ongoing as I'm now at a higher risk of becoming diabetic.

I hope my story helps you as I wish I'd known a bit more about being overweight when I got pregnant, I might have had a bit more of an incentive to lose more weight.

Best of Luck
