I am now 30+1 Weeks pregnant. My first growth scan picked up that our little girl is in the 10th Centile and is a little bit on the small size weighing 977g at 28 weeks pregnant. The doctor then sent me for another growth scan at 30 weeks (Tuesday) and this showed that the baby is continuously growing however is still on the 10th Centile line and is still not weighing as much as we would want her to at 1351g.
I am havin regular growth scans, I understand that everyone is shaped different ways in pregnancy some ladies bumps are bigger than others. However several people even health professionals have said I am very small and have a little bump for 30 weeks, this panics me as my 24 weeks pregnant friend is twice the size as me as well as many others that I know.
Does anyone relate at all or can give me any advice.
Thanks guys

I don’t think you can really tell anything based on the size of the belly. The belly size would consider the baby position, the weight put above the baby, shape of the bump, shape of the women body etc. I have few friends that are also pregnant and even if we are at different stages of pregnancy you could not guess who is further along then the next one. It is good they monitor you through regular scans it is a good sign that the baby is growing even if it still not to the size required, hopefully it will pick up soon and you would have nothing to worry about.
I just had my IUGR little boy two days ago and he was under the 10th percentile, had growth scans every two weeks, he was born at 37 weeks and weighed 5lbs 3oz really tiny but perfectly in proportion and also my belly was huge so belly size does not correlate with baby size. Try not to worry too much they wil pick up any issues at these growth scans xxxx
With my first pregnancy I started off quite small, by the end I gained 24lb (some of my friends Gained 50-80lbs and had babies weighing 10lb!)
I had no issues with that pregnancy and no family history of any illness, scan said that it will be a baby on 50th percentile, last bump measure said it will be nearly 99th percentile baby- which I slightly got scared of how I'll get him out of my vagina!) But----- baby was born on 9th percentile 6lb1oz (smallest in our family - however, my partners mother was a premature micro baby - think she was 1kg at birth)
With this pregnancy 28w now, on ultrasound baby measures on 50th percentile again, I feel & look bigger but gained same amount of weight so far, though babys position is the same: head down- go figure out. I think it's because my uterus has been stretched out by my first pregnancy. I am also leaking lots of colostrum and having terrible Braxton Hicks.
Friend of mine just as had her C-section few days ago because of the calcification of placenta or something, at 27w , her baby weighs 760gr but both are doing good, just need to stay at the hospital to monitor little beans progress.
Try no to worry as there's nothing you can do about it.
I am 28w now but I sense that this baby will come early so 2 days ago I found all tiny baby clothes I have from my first baby and will wash them any day now so I am prepared to go to the hospital if needed any day without a stress.
Sometimes we just need to follow the flow of our destiny and hope for the best outcome!
I am 38 week pregnant and had regular growth scans - These are great to see baby and for the professionals to keep track so please don't focus on bump size... it's what s inside that matters.
The growth scan allow to see trend and focus on growth rather than size... as long as baby growing all is well!
