To be induced or not to be induced

As the title states

Saw my consultant today who

Has told me I have a choice as to be induced or not as I have very spontaneous labours and they happen extremely quick

I'm just pondering as to if I should go for the induction or just leave it my last 3 babies have been early so this one will follow the pattern I hope

Up to you at the end of the day are you prepared for another quick birth if it came to it!?? With the induction at least youll be in hospital unless you wanted a home birth ? My 3rd and 4th were quick too didnt have time for pain relief or anything but did make it to the hospital even though the last one hubby couldnt find the car keys !!! Wishing you all the best whatever you decide! Xxx

Wow that's fast I too made it to hospital with 1st 2nd and 4th baby

Baby number 3 was born at home as thins happened too quickly even ambulance and midwife got to me just as baby's head was coming out this time round iv been advised against home birth as I may bleed out not that iv ever had that happen with previous x

It’s your choice. I’d plan for a home birth, make the midwives come to you. You get 2 midwives come to your house and they have no one else to look after except you and your baby. You don’t have to go anywhere. If your other births haven’t had any complications, talk to your midwife about this option x

Iv wanted a home birth since I found out I was pregnant as previously had one with baby no 3 but my midwife and consultant have advised me against it as I could bleed out

Had no issues with my previous 4 births all delivered vaginally only pain relief with first baby and 4 th baby I think I'm just abit apprehensive this time round as when my labour starts it starts and I don't have a lot of time my last delivery I had to go into hospital as I had strep b got to hospital and within 37minutes my boy was born

X

Sorry to hear they are advising against a home birth. Why could you bleed out? Is it because you’ve had 4 babies already?

I wanted a home birth with number 2 but he got stuck and I was blue lighted to hospital. Hey ho! Not trying again after that one, twos enough for me. Xx

I don't have a clue why as iv not had problems with previous births and the bleeding I think it's more to do with the midwives and them having to come out to me but I'll still mention it to my midwife when I see her in couple weeks and yes I was stopping at 3 but got caught with my fourth and again this time definitely no more after this one tho x

Do you know any Doulas? Could you have a chat with one? They’ll be more on your side pro mothers choice of birth. I don’t understand if you’ve not had problems before, although I think the risk does increase with the more babies you have, so it could be that. Hope you get the birth you want xx
