I used Dr Browns when my little boy was diagnosed with both colic and silent reflux (I’m still using them now) I found them very good xxx

Also.. how did you know he had silent reflux? X

It was diagnosed by a doctor at the hospital. He was crying during/after feeds and seemed in a lot of discomfort and was also burping and could hear stuff was coming back up and he’d swallow it back down. He also had the hiccups constantly xxx

Also had to have him laying slightly upright, wouldn’t lay flat and most of the time had to sleep with him on my chest xxx

Not trying to put you off I used dr browns to begin with as they were recommended to me and they did nothing but leak and not help my baby boys colic. I switched to tommee tippee and he was much better. It’s just trial and error in my opinion, for what I spent on dr browns bottles I could of brought 6 tubs of baby milk!

We are yet to use bottles so I can’t talk from experience but we will either be using MAM bottles (had so many recommendations for them) or the Tomme Tippee Anti-Colic bottles. x

We used MAM bottles and another thing that was great about them is that they're really easy to sterilise. They do have a tendency to leak though, so be really careful when putting them together.

And if you sign up for the boots baby club you get a free bottle. My baby took to them straight away, no fuss at all (I had to express when he was only about 10 days old as he had jaundice and needed help with feeds).

I stopped giving a bottle at about 6-7 months though and after that he refused to have one. So just try and keep up whatever bottle works for you!

We use the MAM bottles which a lot of parents swear by on the CMPA FB group, in fact a lot hate the Tommie tipee ones 🤷‍♀️ Like others have said it’s probably trial and error. We were using Avent but got told we had a Colicky baby (turns out not, she was intolerant to cows milk proteins) and to try switching so we used the free Mam bottle from the Boots parenting club I had and stuck with it in the end as we didn’t want to keep messing around so bought some more. I did struggle to put them together at times early on but not anymore and they are great that you don’t need a steriliser for them as you configure the bottle differently with some water in the bottom and microwave them like that 😊

I notice you were asking about silent reflux, for us it was not sleeping flat, only sleeping upright on us or on left hand side that were two key things we noticed, there is a list of common symptoms if you google. We had half intolerance and half silent reflux but the two go hand in hand with the intolerance we’ve been told x

Thanks for your advice.. I’m going to try the mam ones and see how we get on. I’ve started lil man on infacol as well and that seems to help... his face is the most funniest thing when I dip it in his mouth lol xx

I’ve started giving my 5 month old food to taste (she doesn’t seem interesting in chewing and swallowing yet so I’m just trying flavours, I also know I’m a month early but got told by a paediatrician I could wean if I wanted to) and the face with a raspberry was pretty funny too x

We used Tommee Tippee colic bottles with the tubing down in the middle. They helped ease our boys colic. We tried gripe water and infacol but they did nothing. The bottles helped x
