Need help for pushchair

I know this is a stupid request, I'm don't know how to choose pushchair as we had no experience. I hope to get your advice for the 2 shortlisted buggies by us:

1. Cybex Balio S

- Good: very smooth & suitable for walking in rough ground with chunky wheels

- Bad: wheels are huge, feels bit embarrassed to bring to airport (couple times a year) or public transport (once a week).

2. Mamas & Papas Flip XT2

- Good: Slightly lighter and narrow than Cybex (Size 2.5cm smaller, Weight 1kg lighter, and wheels 2cm smaller)

- Bad: it's said it's all terrain but not recommended to walk on rough ground too often, which i might do every week as i live closer to park), £100 more expensive than Cybex

We live in London and we have a family car, we don't usually use public transport everyday (only once a week via Tube to central).

I have difficulties to choose the buggy now really need your help/experience on both brand please. (attached photos). Thanks ladies.

Hi you have to think are u going to use it more for walking or in/out the car

You want one that’s easy to push and also easy to fold

We bought a cossetto giggle unaware it wouldn’t fit in our boot with out taking the wheels of

Some are one hand open and close

Have u been to test them both

Thanks lovely. Both suitable for our car, and whenever we need our car my husband usually drives so he's no problem to carry them. We have tested them both.

I’ve got the flip xt2 and generally I really like it. We’ve had a few issues with the bag/basket underneath stretching a bit & dragging on the floor but I think there was something we could have done to prevent this a bit but have only just noticed 🙄 It’s also a bit heavy to lift into the car but sounds like that’s not an issue for you (I manage it fine but I’m only 5’2 and my boot is quite high).

It’s reasonably easy to put up and down (I can do it with one hand if I need to) and I can steer it easily with one hand (helpful if I walk to the supermarket and use a shopping basket). I got mine as part of a bundle which was a really good deal and overall I’d say I’m pleased we went for that rather than some more expensive ones. I have no experience of the other one though I’m afraid.

Awww that's very helpful thanks. Im same height with you. I like walking in the park or sometimes rough stoney walking trails. Do you think its suitable or harmful for the wheel? The best bundle I found 4pcs is £500 is it still too expensive?

We’ve taken it on some fairly rough tracks and it’s been ok. I wouldn’t describe it as all-terrain, the front wheels are quite small, but trails through the woods etc have been fine.

Tbh I can’t remember how much ours was but my mum got a crazy deal off the internet (it was so good I thought it was dodgy but the woman in mamas & papas reassured me it was legit! 😂) Think it was about 750 but also included the car seat and isofix and some other bits. Depending on what the 4pcs are though, that doesn’t sound too bad.

If you do a lot of walking I wouldn't worry about the pram & just go straight for a sling/wrap/carrier. We do a lot of family walking & I've found it easier to use my connecta baby carrier rather than pram. My little boy loves it & sleeps well in it x

We thought we would do this but our baby hates every type of sling and carrier 😒

What a monkey!!! My lb is such a mummy's boy, I think he just loves a good cuddle in it lol I quite often have to do a bit of cooking or cleaning with him in it x

I have the xt2 and to be honest although there are good points, I do find it quite a big and clumsy pushchair to get around. It runs really smoothly but it's big and heavy, and I find the wheels quite wide.

We also struggle to get it into our car (but we only have a small car).

I find the basket underneath perfect when I do a big shop (it is so roomy and carries a lot) and hubby likes the fact you can make the handle bar higher (he's very tall). And it does rUn very smoothly. I loved the carry cot when baby was small.

I don't completely love, but I dont hate it though i wish we'd done a bit more investigation before we bought one.
