Tandem/ Twin Pram show room (not health related)

Please forgive me- this question isn’t health related it’s the only forum I have joined in with recently.

I am really am stuck on where to go to try and test out twin/tandem buggies/prams.

I have a tall two year old boy and a baby on the way (very soon) and I need to go to try tandem buggies before I buy but I have no clue where to go. Any ideas? I’d like somewhere where there is a vast range of tandem/twin prams and with good expert knowledge -Because I have a lot of questions!

I live in London/ Luton but don’t mind traveling up to around 5 miles outside both areas.

Ive always found mothercare a good place ive brought a graco tandem for my 2 year old and new addition they usually have a goid range on there even if you dont buy one and just research the model / brand you like and then maybe order online from a online pram site / amazon or the like to get the best price but sometimes mothercare have offers on hope this helps!! On show or u could always check if there is a 2nd hand shop for baby stuff, maybe John Lewis.

I see alot of toddlers standing on the backboard things. I'm thinking that might be better for my toddler as at 15 months she's already so flipping independent, headstrong and not liking being strapped in i don't fancy the hassle. Also i struggle getting places with the single buggy

It’s really tricky, as they don’t often have doubles on display. I did a bit of online research to find out which models I was interested in, and then rang round local branches of Smyths, Mothercare and John Lewis to see what was available in each.

My daughter was 2years 4months when our son was born, and we agonised over whether to get a buggy board or double pram. We opted for both, and I am so glad. We use the double pram a lot more than we expected, and wouldn’t be without it now. For long days out, it’s a godsend.

Key things to consider are:

- what will fit in the boot of your car

- what will fit through your front door!

Our front door is very narrow, and we only found 1 side-by-side on the market narrow enough to fit. We got the Mountain Buggy Duet, which is the same width as the uppababy vista.

The other thing is, that the double prams tend to hold their value pretty well, so if you decide to stick it on eBay or gumtree in a year or so, you’re likely to still get a pretty good price for it.
