Anyone went in to labor after a sweep?

Hi I'm 38+4 weeks and my midwife gave me a sweep today but before she did it she said I was in early labor already and I'm 2cm dialated. Ive had cramps and spotting since. Has anyone went in to labor after a sweep or has anyone gone over?

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

A sweep did nothing for me. I had to be induced at 11 days past due date x

Hi i was the same 2 years ago with baby no 3 2cm 4 hours later i had my baby !! But like i say that was baby no 3 think its just a waiting game though really good luck !!!! Xxxx

My little girl was 3 dilated from 40 weeks after 3 sweeps and still 15 days over due with an induction so it didn’t work for me. Tomorrow my rainbow baby is getting evicted lol so I’ll see his beautiful face soon !

I wish you the very best, try walking up and down the stairs side ways and bouncing on ball if you have one or rocking on all fours xx

I had my baby the day after a sweep but I Had already lost the mucus plug the day before so can’t say if it was the sweep or not! Xx

I had my sweep and went into labour that day and son was born next day. I'm sure if different for everyone. Good luck x x
