I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I'm itchy all over, on my arms [Possibly on the back of my legs also] I have small bumps, like pinpricks and they're spreading. My legs, arms and stomach are itchy and it gets worse at night. It's getting worse by the night and it feels like every time I scratch, it just gets worse.
I have an underactive thyroid but I don't know if that's connected. I'm 20 and this is the furthest I've gotten in a pregnancy.
I've tried many creams, I don't even have anything on my skin to CAUSE the itching.
I'm very worried about anything going wrong in this pregnancy as I am already in love with my little baby.

I suffer with itching too. I suffer urticaria anyway but since pregnant it's a different itch. It is normal as it's hormones floating round the body. Unfortunately just cool clothes and creams x
Hi, at about 8 weeks I had exactly the same thing last time I was pregnant and realised it was the pregnacare prenatal supplements I was taking, i itched like crazy! As soon as I stopped I was fine, I just took folic acid. I had a very healthy baby boy 🙂
Please do mention this to your midwife there is a condition that I had during pregnancy called obstetric cholestasis and it’s better to be safe than sorry. X
Did you suffer from eczema at all when you were younger? I did and it cleared up by the time I was 16, I’m now 22 and 11 weeks pregnant with my first and it’s back in full force, I’ve had to change the washing powder, and bathe in oilatum again just to get it under control a bit. I only know that it’s my eczema as it’s identical in placement and symptoms, but it might be worth speaking to your midwife x
