Baby measurements
Your bump is supposed to measure the same as you e.g. 31 weeks 31cm but they say 2cm either way is fine so your measurements are good. It also depends on the way the baby is lying.
Some weeks my measurements didn’t change a huge amount either xx
I saw my midwife in the week at nearly 26 weeks and was measuring 29cm, you can be 2cm either side, so I’m only really 1cm bigger. Got growth scan next week and GTT following week. x
I had a growth scan at 36 weeks showing my baby was big at 90th percentile but when midwife measured my bump at 37 weeks it only measured 33cm. She said baby must be curled up tight as this only put her at the tenth percentile. So who knows! I’m not going to worry about it.
The fundal measurements are not exactly accurate and the is putting it mildly!, I measured 1cm over throughout my second pregnancy which put my baby on the 90th percentile. No extra scans but when I wanted to go to the midwife led until my consultant got shirty as my baby was clearly big and going to get stuck! One way to freak someone out!. Anyway at 12 days late my baby weighed 7lb 12oz! He was never a big baby! But I worried loads all because of the measurements of my bump!
Exactly what I had. My Midwife was not worries either. They have to do it now. My waters had reduced which would explain it, possibly, also baby measured small (she was born a good 6lb8) and was breech. She was fine though, had a good strong heart beat, and I now have a cheeky four month old. It meant a c section at 38 weeks. Enjoy the opportunity to see your baby again and just go with it. If there is a problem then you be monitored. Just try not to worry, you're in the best place with the additional scan. I realise that for some it's stressful but I managed to keep calm and didn't panic. You won't be the only one and if any thing comes up you so be taken care off by those who only want the best for you and baby. Let us all know what happens.
