Im now 8 weeks pregnant. And yesterday night i had bleeding and it didnt last long.. me and my husband both are confused and afraid. What needs to be done? And is this normal or not?

Hi Hun sorry your experiencing this , did the bleed last long and was it bright red any clots ?

It could be break through bleeding, but to be on the safe side call the early pregnancy unit explain what’s happened and ask for a scan or contact your midwife! Hope everything goes well xx

If you bleed in the first 18 weeks (apart from implantation bleeding 1st week or so that some women get) you are supposed to seek medical advice. It may be ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. A scan will confirm this. Or you may be ok. Contact NHS 111 for advice x
