Second pregnancy

I found out 5 weeks ago I was pregnant. I’m now 11+2 and everything has been so difficult this time. My referral never made it to the midwives (don’t know whether this was an issue at my GPs or something else). I finally had my booking in appointment on Saturday and was told to book my first scan this afternoon but I’ve rung and I’m still not on the system. I rang the Community midwife line almost every day when I was trying to get my booking in appointment and they never responded at all to any of my messages! I just don’t know what to do.

Hi does the hospital not send you a letter with your app for scan? Who did they say to ring for the scan?

No we don’t get a letter here we have to ring direct. I had to ring to book the scan in my first pregnancy too. I guess I’m just fed up with it being so hopeless this time.

You’ll have to be booked in soon, I didn’t get my booking in app until 11 weeks. Just keep ringing it has to be done just try to chill and not get stressed.

I’ll ring again tomorrow. I suppose I’m anxious as I’m already the same size as I was at 5-6 months last time and I’m struggling to hide it. I just don’t want to be telling people before we’ve had a scan.
