Can I ask did you come off any contraception before you started trying. It can take about a year for the pill to fully leave your system. If you are worried might be a good idea to go see your gp.

Wishing you luck xxx

It takes 1 week for the pill to fully leave your system, it take around 6 months to a year fir your cycle to get back to normal, I thought I was infertile due to having an undiagnosed overactive thyroid, went to see my gp and he said once you try for a year come back and see us, I had blood tests to ensure my hormone replacement levels were correct and fortunately for me I fell pregnant after 6 months of trying :) don't panic, don't be frightened go see your gp they're really helpful and good luck

I had a contraceptive implant in until August 2016. When I got it removed we were ttc. We just found out last week that I was pregnant. So that has taken over a year to conceive. Don't panic about it, it'll happen when it's supposed to.

I wouldn't worry hun. We had friends that were trying for 5 years (I'm not saying that it'll take you 5 years) and it got to the point where they started having tests.

One Xmas day she took a test and was pregnant! Not long after their boy was born, she got caught again!

It may just take a bit longer than some hun. If you're concerned then you can always go to your doctors. Fingers crossed for you xx

Have you worked out when your fertile window roughly is? How long your cycle is. It might be you've been missing your ovulation days

Most GPs will see you about fertility issue once you've been trying for 12 months.

Hi Lauren, I wouldn't worry too much, I was on the pill for almost 20 years and stopped taking it almost 2 years ago and conceived for the first time in Oct 2017. Just make sure you know when your ovulating (usually 10-14 days from the first day of your last period) and you will get there, everyone's different. Good luck with it xxx

please do not put pressure on trying let it happen naturally, when being worried and stressing over it I think it has an impact. I have 3 children, with my 3rd we decided it was time to have another baby so I came of contraception and we started trying if never happened I truly believe that is because we was trying, once it did not happen we just put it in the back of our mind and went with it once we did that I fell pregnant. so the advise I could give you and think would be useful is that do not worry, be relax, let it come naturally. I think when you stress and want it to happen it interferes, I may be wrong but that is my opinion. Hope everything goes well for you xx

I thought the same. It took us a two and a half years but I am now 9 weeks pregnant. If you are worried go see your doctor and they can help.
