Got told everything is fine with baby but I've got a low lying placenta and will have to have scans to see if it moves I'm really worried now has anyone else had this and what will happen if I go into labour at 32 weeks again ☹☹x

I haven't experienced myself but my sister in law had the same issue. She had to deliver the baby at 31 weeks via c-section. The baby was absolutely fine and is now an adorable 4.5 year old girl. I hope everything goes well with u and u should deliver your baby naturally at full term with no issues involved!!

When u wrote again have u delivered once by 32 weeks??

Good luck!!

Yes her placenta was lying very low. They monitored her every two weeks. She since had another two children and didn't have this problem again.

Did they tell you that 9 times out of 10 the placenta moves as the pregnancy progresses due to the uterus growing?

I had this found on the 20wk scan and it moved by the week 32 scan.

If it doesn’t move it means a c section.

If you get any bleeding in the meantime you should go straight to hospital.

I have the same, but they told me 9 times out of 10 it does move and to not worry about it until I have another scan at 32 weeks. I was told it does but me at a higher risk of bleeding and to take it easy. They didn't mention anything about having to deliver early though, I really can't going into labour until after 38 weeks as I have my final exams at uni in weeks 36/37 lol plus I need to move house :o

I had my 20wk scan and got told exactly the same. It's quite common apparently and normally moves as uterus expands so I'm going to try not to worry
