34 weeks tomorrow and still 3 weeks left at work :-(

I'm 34 weeks pregnant with my first child. It took us 3 years to conceive due to unexplained infertility which turned out to be endometriosis so 2 surgeries later it happened on its own after a failed IVF cycle. My feet and legs are so swollen and I now have carpel tunnel so my hands ache all the time and joints hurt and most morning I wake up and they are numb. Cant believe I've got another 3 weeks at work then another 6 before my actual due date. I love being pregnant and cant complain because apart from the swelling, carpel tunnel and constipation I've had a really easy ride but I'm getting uncomfortable now and finding it harder to sleep with the snoring I have recently developed and some hip pain! No one said pregnancy was glamorous x

If you're struggling to cope at work why not see if you can start Mat leave before? I know in some places if you take Mat related sick leave they will start Mat leave early, so might be worth looking into it.

Use the time to prepare for baby, sort out last shopping cook and freeze some meals, time will fly by and baby will suddenly be here

I have my mat leave all planned out as my holidays restart after Xmas so I don't actually start maternity leave until the 19th of January as I'm taking annual leave so it works out I get a decent amount off. I don't want to start mat leave early if I can help it as it would need to be unpaid until Xmas if I want to keep it planned the way i have and I can't really afford unpaid leave atm hehe just needed to rant x

Your employer is legally bound to complete an occupational health risk assessment considering both you and your bumps health and put things in place to help. Maybe that could help the carpel tunnel.

I had constipation but bought something called a squatty potty. Not a potty but a step to bring your legs up into a better position.

You are nearly there, big hugs x

Yeah my works really good I've had 2 risk assessments already I get one every 3 months but by time the next one comes up I will be off haha. I don't work where I live so I have to drive back and forth I might need to start getting lifts if my carpel tunnel persists x
