Hi all, I am 28+4 I am very happy to be pregnant and have been the whole time. However over the last few days I've been feeling really can't be bothered and tired. People keep asking me what's up and suggesting activities like to for a nice bath or put a film on or go out for a walk. These suggestions don't seem to peak my interest. I just sign feel worse that I seem to be affecting others with my mood. I can't shake it and it's affecting my motivation to do most anything. Anyone know why I feel like this???

Feeling down with no apparent reason?!
It sounds like a bit of pregnancy depression to me , I think we all go through it some part of our pregnancy and after and it effects some women different to others! I would recommend the walks and baths though Hunni o know it seems like a big effort and you just can’t be bothered but it’s better for you and your mind. If it is really getting you down try and speak to midwife about it or book an appointment with doctor as it will help talking plus they can give you advice and hopefully it won’t get worse! I hope your ok and wish you well xx
Hi hun, I agree with sisi, sounds typical of antenatal depression. I had it in this pregnancy (3) and felt dreadful. I spoke to gp and was given medication and after a few weeks felt SOOOOOOO much better. Even just chatting to midwife and opening will be a weight off. We are expected to be walking round beaming and blooming in pregnancy but that’s just stupid media, when in fact it full of feeling fat and lazy, vomiting, constipation, peeing all the time and hormonal mood swings!! You’re not alone, this is REALLY common. If you want to chat message me but I’d definitely recommend you give midwife/doctor a call xx
You may just be feeling tired and wanting to conserve your energy. Or it may be a touch of the baby blues. Be gentle with yourself. It’s ok to feel however you feel. It is good to try to do some activity as a distraction if can but don’t push yourself too hard. Ensure you’re getting plenty of sleep and perhaps up your b vitamins (or take a multi vitamin if not already). If you do feel it’s getting worse then speak to your midwife and doctor. It’s v common to feel like this in pregnancy and they will be able to help. I haven’t had pregnancy depression but I have had depression in the last. It can be quite scary - it’s important to speak to people about how you feel and not keep it all inside. It will pass xxx
