late 6 days from periods

i am 6 days late of my periods iknow it can b pregnancy or may be something else but i had a ectopic pregnancy last year now it seems again something happeing ... is there anything which i can do to prevent my pregnancy turning into an ectopic pregnancy???

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to prevent an ectopic. However it is important to check a pregnancy test ASAP as you need to get in touch with GP or epau for an early scan if you are pregnant to rule out an ectopic pregnancy (since you have a history of it)

Nope. Saying that, you shouldn't be able to tell only six days in. I second Roxannacar- tell your GP immediately and mention your previous ectopic. They'll probably want to get you checked out sooner rather than later, which can only be a good thing.

I agree with the other two lovely people. Definitely do a test and if positive book in with your GP. I'm not sure how it works with eptopic but we have had 2 miscarriages and asked midwife, doctor, hospital if we could get scanned more regularly and all have said no because we haven't lost 3 babies. Our midwife is fantastic though. If you are pregnant but they don't scan you, I definitely recommend booking a private scan for piece of mind.

I did get checked for an eptopic pregnancy with this baby because I had pains in 1 side but they said everything was fine so I don't think they'll scan you unless you have pain or pay private. Definitely worth an ask though!

Thank you so much you know i called my Gp this morning and said ineed a early scan as i have a history of ectopic but she said there’s no appointment till 16th of september and i was so worried because ihave lost my left tube last year because of surgery but i cant afford another loss

iam definitely going to book a private scan but can u please guide me about the procedure?? how to book it and where do i need to go?? and is it too costly? please do me a favour and guide me Thanks 😊

Ahh I See! I wasn't too sure how it worked with eptopic. Until 16th September?

I was recommended a place by a girl at work. Also a midwife at the hospital recommended a place to me. You can always good private baby scans for your area and it should come up. We live in Staffordshire. Failing that, ask your gp or midwife. The one we went to, midwife from the hospital work there on the days they're not working so I know they're fully qualified. The only problem is, ours wouldn't scan unless you were 8 weeks+.

Our early scan and early sex scan both cost £45. 15 minute scan, we got it recorded on DVD, could chose 2 pictures and had a cd with all of the pictures on. It's worth the money to put your mind at ease.
