Any hints and tips of calming or helping the sickness, what’s best to eat. Today I ate some custard creams and n hour later they were back up again. I really don’t handle being sick very well and really struggling with the feeling sick all the time! - I’m not moaning about it as I am over the moon of being pregnant after having a early misscarriage but some tips would be good

Feeling sick and being sick.
Try ginger! You can get ginger tablets in the pregnancy section at any supermarket or just eat ginger biscuits, apparently they work a treat!
I didn’t seem to have any morning sickness at all! But my vitamins and folic acid contained ginger so that could be why!x
With my last pregnancy i took ginger biscuits to bed and before i got up i use to have one or two and it did actually help. Hope it passes soon for you x
Ginger biscuits and bread have worked for me. Also sipping squash and decaf coffee as I can’t stand plain water or tea at the moment. A bigger breakfast and lighter lunch and dinner has also helped plus snacks of bread and other carbs throughout the day to keep glucose levels up. I try to make sure I walk a lot as sitting for too long makes me feel worse. I had a miscarriage last time too and have been feeling much worse this time round.
I sympathise it’s awful! I felt sick 24/7, even through the night, all the usual things like ginger, dry toast etc, I couldn’t even stomach them so my gp has prescribed me some anti sickness tablets which are safe for you and baby and they’ve been a life saver!! I was moody and down and exhausted because I felt so ill all the time. Feeling much brighter now.
Good luck
Hi MeganLilly. I have had sickness throughout my pregnancy. As others have said ginger biscuits help. Stay hydrated and well rested. Also I keep a sick diary so whenever I’m sick I can try and work out why it happened. It’s normally dehydration, exhaustion or a certain food that didn’t sit right. Hope that helps.
Hi, I have terrible nausea. I read lots of advice and some keeps it at bay. Ginger squash ( belvior fruit farms) not biscuits as they make me feel ill, no sweet foods, bitter/ sour foods, marmite on toast or plain carbs like crackers. Also little and often. If you get hungry the nausea gets worse. In saying all this, I've gone off all of the above. I'm 11+1 so hoping it will pass soon as off milk, tea and a hundred and one other foods. Know the fact I'm expecting twins doesn't help. Good luck, hope it passes because it's pants.
