Hi I currently found out I was pregnant with my second child, only 3 weeks pregnant. When is it that you phone the GP/Midwife? I seem to have forgot how it all works and someone told me with your second pregnancy you don't go as much? Thanks

Are you sure you're only 3 weeks pregnant? Normally you wouldn't have missed a period yet at that point as pregnancy is calculated from your last period not conception. What you need to do is ask your surgery if you can refer yourself to the midwife directly or if you need to see GP. I referred myself to midwife straight away both times. Depends if you have any health issues then might be worth seeing GP earlier. Midwife normally sees you 8-10 weeks first then and first scan around 12 weeks. You are seen a little bit less if second child and low risk but it's not that much different and is outlines in the pregnancy book you get

I did a test a week before and it said negative so now I'm really not sure how would I work it out from my last period

You just need to know the first day of the last period to work it out. Pregnancy tests will normally use a conception date and if clear blue it's anything from 3w + doesn't mean 3.

All health professional will use your last period date tho
