Anyone experienced anything like this. Still technically pregnant but expected miscarriage

I apologise for the length, I just wanted it to make sense (sorry if it doesn't)

On the 14/6/17 I had the slightest bit of spotting.

On the 16/6/17 I went for an early pregnancy scan and she told me there was no heartbeat and that the baby measuring 6 weeks at 4mm and there was blood in my sac. She said to come back in 2 weeks for another scan but that there was a 1 in a million chance that we would be hearing good news.

So we went back on the 30/6/17 as requested. She after the scan they said there was no difference in the sac (so no heartbeat, blood) but the baby was now 5mm. She said this time that there's still 99% that it's not ongoing. But I have to go back in 3 weeks to see what's going on.

I've had no bleeding but have been having very bad back ache and headaches.

- Has anyone experienced this and what happened with you?

- how has the baby grew if there's no heartbeat? 😔

- Do you think my body will naturally remove them?

- what would you do?

This is tearing my brain apart just understanding all this. I've never heard of this happening before

this must be messing with your head dreadfully. I agree, its very conflicting information. I don't understand either how it would have grown without a heartbeat.

I know some people struggle to find a heartbeat so early? Usually 7 weeks is the earliest they do scans for that reason?

have they done a blood test? To see what your hcg is up to? Increasing, decreasing? I'm.sorry no one can give you any clarity.

two weeks is a long time to wait when your in such a limbo.

I'm so sorry to read this, your mind must be racing with all this I had a miscarriage last year at 12 weeks, however my baby had stopped growing between 5/6 weeks, so I had no idea that anything was wrong for 6 weeks! I still had headaches, back ache, tiredness and feeling a bit sick too but eventually my body caught up with what happened and my miscarriage started naturally to remove the pregnancy. I personally would hold on to the 1% chance that things might be okay as I do think it is odd that the baby has still grown even though they cannot find a heartbeat...

The only way I could explain the change in size is that ultrasound is performer dependant. So if the first time they could get a certain image maybe second time the image was slightly different and possibly the measurement wasn't exactly from the same two points. Unfortunately ultrasound measurements are not always 100%
