Anyone had any experience with cervical swabs?

I had a few swabs took on Friday by gynae and she noticed an erosion but didn't go into any sort of details (She told me to chase up a smear as I'm due around now which I'm ringing GP for tomorrow) but i've been having light bleeding since the swabs and I'm not sure what to do? Is it something I should be worried about? Thanks in advance.

Hi there! A bit of spotting after a smear test or swab is normal and quite common, especially if you have an erosion, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. She was probably just a teeny bit too rough with you! If it starts to hurt or the bleeding gets heavier then definitely tell your GP. X
