I know this may be a silly question but better to be sure but is your period the old egg that hasn't been fertilised? So do you have to ovulate before having a period?

Hi

The period is the lining of the womb that sheds because there's no embryo in there to house. You Will get a bleed every month if your not pregnant. You don't have to ovulate. You will still get a period. But yes In theory if your egg isn't fertilised it perishes. Xx
