Tender Breasts

I'm about 5-6 weeks pregnant, my breasts are very tender but in particular the left is heavier & more painful then the right. Is this normal? I read about support bras which could help this? Would anyone recommend a bra & where to buy this? Thanks in advance! ☺️

I'm nearly 8weeks and have exactly the same, although weirdly not every day. I went to Asda and got a non-wired comfort bra for bed, works a treat.

Hi,

I didn't have your experience during pregnancy but I did have a lot of pain when my milk came in a few days after giving birth, by then I had a maternity bra which I found at 38 wks pregnant and which I have used ever since as it is so comfortable and accommodates changing size through breastfeeding, it is the bravado model found here johnlewis.com/bravado-seaml...

Oddly John Lewis only has one review but when I bought it there were tens of reviews that were overall excellent. I didn't like it the first time I tried it as I didn't like the shaping of the cups under clothing but after re-reading the reviews and not finding anything else remotely as comfortable I tried it again and found that the removable cup inserts can be adjusted in position which improves the shaping - I've been so happy with this bra for comfort and appearance that I am still wearing it 2.5 years later even though I am now back to my pre-pregnancy bra fit, and I found I haven't had to change size as it is adjustable as well as a stretchy material. I bought an M and I am a 34B/32C going up to an E a week before birth and then increased slightly more after I guess but I never got measured as the bra accommodated all the changes!

This site also sells this bra and has more reviews, but I was able to try it on in my local John Lewis - not sure if they all stock this but you can phone them to check or perhaps it can be ordered and returned if not suitable?

Hope you find something soon that helps.

Best wishes,

Ruth

Hi Ruth, thank you so much for all the information you've shared! All very detailed! I'll check both links you sent me! Can't believe you went up to an E cup as I'm a 32C also! Thanks again, your help is really appreciated!
