I woke up at 3.30am this morning and had bled through my underwear and pyjamas, i went to a&e straight away but it slowed down completely, it is now continous but very little and brown in colour. A&E wanted me to go to EGU but they wont scan me until next friday the 20th, I'm just stuck in limbo and I don't know what to do. Has anyone had this?
More worrying.: I woke up at 3.30am... - Pregnancy and Par...
More worrying.
That is quite long but unfortunately it depends on availability. Also if it's quite early on they don't tend to scan immediately as you might not see what you need, but also unfortunately as distressing as it may be there isn't much that can be done about it in terms of management. Maybe consider a private scan?
Its not availability because a&e had booked me in and its not the case that its too early because they had scanned me last week. Its now just spotting so fingers crossed, im just disgusted at how we are treated, no compassion.
Yes 13 weeks I had pain all day and didn't feel right and then I stood up and blood poured through my underwear and tights onto the floor. My stomach went all soft rather than hard. I was scared I lost the baby. I was admitted to hospital and they couldn't scan me till day after but tuned out baby was absolutely fine. Sometimes when your pregnant there are blood pockets I had it with my second too but the pocket was above the baby so I didn't bleed but r hurt like hell and the nurse said it just burst. They don't know why we bleed during pregnancy or why other don't but my baby was fine. I hope this helps! I bled more than this too with both was in ad out of hospital all the way through but now I have a 3 year old and 1 year old who are doing great! I hope you are ok and things are fine!!
Thank you SC94, my scan is in 3 weeks so hopefully i see little bub then!
I bet you're going crazy I hated when they made my scan dates so far away! Especially when it's to make sure baby is ok after a bleed. My hospital was always pretty quick have you tried your midwife ? Explain how worried you are and say how it's effecting you like sleep sometimes they can ask for your scan be earlier if they think it's what's best. I had a really good relationship with my midwife and when I wasn't feeling right she just knew so sent me to triage who had their own scan room so they checked everything was fine. If you feel ok I guess there's no harm in waiting but trust your instincts if you get a feelin something isn't right get checked out earlier!
I've been in touch with the EGU and they have scanned me a few times, they did a smear test the other day too and they've said everything seems fine so i shouldnt worry. Which is not that easy! But i still feel sick and tired, my belly is definitely swelling and getting hard already! Im told these are all good signs and unless its bright red blood (which it isnt) then it is one of those things...
Can u inbox me babynumber1
Well I hope it goes fast for you till your scan! I'm sure it'll be ok they'd be rushing you in if they were very worried. My blood was bright red every time that's probably why they got me in ASAP for my scans. Plus I've had pre eclampsia twice so they keep a close eye on me lol! I hope everything goes ok and keep your chin up... If something was wrong your mummy instincts would probably pick it up!
I am in the same boat, i was given the all positive last tuesday, suddenly started bleeding on wednesday, rang my fertility nurse who said not to worry and Was given a scan for friday. They had a look and said everything looked normal and the way it should at 5+1weeks. Had a little ball of blood just under my baby sac, which bled away on saturday. Im just kind of scared at the moment cause i keep getting twinges and sudden pain near my abdoms. They come and go. I have my next scan on 24th of june (7weeks). Should i ring up fertility or wait til my next scan. And has anyone else had pain around the pelvic and groin area? (My pregnancy is through ivf so dont know if that could be the reason)
You get loads of twinges during pregnancy. If it's not severe pain then I would wait. If start bleeding heavily or have bad pain then you should get in touch.
