Hello everyone. .today i had my 12 weeks scan and the nuchal translucency is 7.7 mm.

I can't believe it that happened to me. .

I was cry. .Tomorrow gave me anothesr scan ..pleaseeee your thoughts. ..

I can't do amniocentesis. ..

I m afraid. .

What can i do ..maby stop end this pregnancy.

The results is very bad ..

You can have a blood test privately called harmony that will let you if your baby has downs

I think it's important if you can to try and stay calm. Listen to the options that the Drs offer you. Maybe writes list of questions you'd like to ask when you have your scan tomorrow. Give yourself plenty of time to talk to the baby's father and understand how you each feel so you can support each other. Try not to assume the worst xxxx

It's very stressful and a huge shock when you have your scan and everything isn't as it should be with your baby. You need to take some time to absorb the news. Don't feel like you have to make any quick decisions. You can have the harmony blood test done instead of an amniocentesis but it's not offered on the NHS so you need to pu privately.

I can't make a decision for you. I've not been in your shoes. But, I can say that those I know who have children with Downs see them as a blessing.

Hi. The scan I had with my daughter said she had 1-30 chance of having Downs. I had a scan at another hospital the next day and it showed a normal reading. She was born on New Years Eve nearly 9 years ago healthy and weighed 7.2. Try not to worry. Regards Ronnie

My cousin was meant to be a down Syndrome baby. The whole family was ready to help out. She was perfect. Nothing wrong at all. They couldn't have the amnio test either. They'll advise you.
