Are they supposed to hurt? I've been having pain on and off since midday Sunday. No show or anything else. Tummy goes solid. Can anyone shed some light? X

Braxton Hicks??
Hey, yes they can hurt...depends on how far gone you are to...the ones I had around 24 week belly just went rock solids without pain I would say....just am ache and a weird tight feeling, around 34 weeks.....hurt a little....thought I might be having an early labour, turns out was just Braxton's
Hey cheekymonkey3791 thanks for replying. I'm 35+5. My belly goes solid but the pain that comes with it like a really bad period pain. The trouble is there's no pattern to them at all. Think I'm just unlucky and getting the painful Braxton hicks lol. May give the hospital a call just to see what they say
From 36 weeks I was having the same sort of pains you're explaining, almost every day but with no pattern or regularity. I also felt a bit sick and had back ache. It was all just Braxton hicks. I was convinced I was having my baby! π unfortunately I had to wait until 41 weeks to meet her. But she's been here two weeks now! β€ being a mummy is the best! X
Yep tif7 Braxton Hicks!! I had similar from about week b4 little one due (1st April) - he eventually came on 15th April at exactly 42 weeks π is not fun for labour period - pretty painful - but all completely worth it when you hold them for first time trust me. Baby son an absolute poppet, we love him (was 6lb 11oz when born) π
my braxton hicks were also quite painful and lasted for over a week in the lead up to the big day, I wore a TENS machine for the last 4 days of it and found it really helped. xx
