Does your hospital have an early pregnancy unit? You can either go via A&E or get your GP to refer you for an early scan. I've had bleeding like that in both successful pregnancies and in my losses - it's not always an indicator of outcome, but then neither is a positive pregnancy test as the hormones can stay in your body for almost a fortnight. Bleeding should always be investigated... is it fresh red blood or browny coloured?
