Boots online hav a section about recommended stuff to take.

Loads of granny pants and sanitary wear, nursing bras if u plan to b and breast pads, .strappy nighties, loose going home clothes, few mini tolietries, hairbands, lip balm and anything else u need to keep u occupied during the waiting part.snacks like cereal bars.

I took 4 x vests and sleepsuits for my baby. Nappies, cotton wool to use when changing baby as dont use wipes in first weeks, a hat, couple of blankets. I had one bag for me and bag for baby and I also put a pile of stuff at home so if need be my bf cud bring them in x

Hair bands/ties, water spray for face, face cloths (diff colours for soothing diff areas!!), music if you fancy, snacks for you and birth partner, change for carpark or snack machines, dry shampoo spray, drinks like lucozade (I took a notion for this half way through! ). I also brought my V shape pillow for comfort and nursing baby. Socks - your feet can get surprisingly cold in a warm hospital. To be perfectly honest though, I didn't use much during the birth (had water birth) but I did use everything after as had to stay a few days. My husband wished he had brought more food for himself. Try and bring what you think will make you comfortable and will get you through. Good luck :)

What ever you take for yourself pjs nightie and towel make sure there the darkest colour u can get, black being perfect. Saves any embarrassing leakages being too obvious. I used baby wipes from the get go, but that's a personal choice. Foods a good 1 too as ur likely to miss meals etc. and don't forget the camera!
