30 wks pregnant and having bad headache and drinking loads but constantly thirsty . What could this be ?
Have you been checked for diabetes in pregnancy? As these are a few symptoms! Might be worth checking with your midwife?
No I haven't , are they oh I didn't know that ... don't see midwife til 25 Oct but I have app with docs tomorrow should I say to him ?
Yeah I would definitely mention it! it might be nothing to worry about but better to be safe than sorry! Hope it all goes well x
Okay thank for advice . Sometime it's hard to tel if normal in pregnancy or not . Especially as not had it with my other two ...x
Should probably get your doctor to check your blood pressure too...headaches can be a sign of high blood pressure too. Good luck xxxx
I agree with bumpnumber4. Probably a good idea to get blood pressure checked out as well. Especially if your headache is not going away with medication. I had pre-eclampsia with my little one and a constant headache was one of my symptoms. I'm sure everything is fine but just get anything that worries you checked out ASAP.
I 've been taking 500mg paracetamol tab and there not doing anything and I m not normally one for taking pills unless really needed x
Hi ya,
I am 34+ and I am thirsty all the time! I must admit I have been craving Diet Coke.. .yes with Caffine and not good for me. Anyway my point is, I just had my blood test results back and all is fine you should mention it to the midwife though just to make sure x
I had this too, my midwife took my blood tests and they all came back fine. She said that it may just be one of those things that affects some people and not others. I have found now I'm 34 weeks I am still thirsty all the time but there's nothing wrong it just affects some women differently.
I didnt have any of these symptoms, and I have gestational diabetes. Nothing showed up in my urine, and i wasnt tested at 16/28 weeks coz i wasnt considered at risk, then at a scan i had, to check the position of my placenta at 32 weeks, they said his abdominal circumference was larger than in should be. If i didnt have the scan, i wouldnt have known. Ive managed to control my blood sugars with my diet alone, and hes measuring fine now, 4.5 weeks later. God knows how big a baby i would be having if i didnt find out lol. Always worth mentioning to the doctor or midwife its what they r there for! good luck x
