Im 31 weeks and only just been told about it, although i have refused it. So i dont think it would be too bad to have it later than 34weeks as if i'd have agreed to it i'm guessing that I would have had it at 32weeks plus? Hope it helps!

I'm sure I ended up having mine at 34 weeks and all was fine :-)

Thanks Guys I'm taking my little one to drs tmw so I better not forget think I'll put a reminder on my phone too!!! :)

I had to ask about getting it at my mw appt last week! Midwife said 'oh, have I not spoken to you about it, I can't remember what I tell who' errrrm surely it should be on my notes! Very pleasant woman but she isn't particularly forthcoming with information. I've booked in with the practice nurse to have it on Tues; I'll be 30+6 then.

The NHS website says you can have it between 28 and 38 weeks, ideally by 32 weeks. You can still have it after 38 weeks but it may not protect the baby after this stage. x

I didn't know about the injection until a new GP asked me at 30 weeks whether I'd had it done, so I was a bit surprised. I'll have mine at 35 weeks and was told that up to 36 weeks is fine.

I had mine at 35 week's & it was fine. The nurse I saw said they don't do it after 38 weeks as it takes 2 weeks for it to be effective.
