Ambilical cord around the babys neck ?

Im. 22 weeks pregnant i had anomaly scan yesterday. And the doct found the ambilical cord around the baby s neck i m Really scared i dont no. What. To do.

I'm sorry I don't understand, the sonographer told you that the cord was around neck or a doctor? Did no one speak to you about it?

I think the sonographer told her and so she will see a doctor tomorrow about it. Xx

Try not to panic and see what the doctor says tomorrow. Baby may still untangle themselves as they do wriggle a lot and get themselves stuck at times. But if not they will help you. Try not to worry too much at this stage x

Im thinking you're going to see a midwife who will perform a ultrasound scan for you.

Your doctor or G.P is usually only allowed to listen to the baby's heart-beat using a doppler.

Who told you the umblical cord is around the baby's neck again ? !

I honestly couldnt say "at this point" but you wont do yourself any-good by worrying too much about it

Ive heard of baby being able to de-tangle themselfs so hopefully the same can happen for you.

Baby may still un tangle it's self but keep calm and wait to see what doc says! No matter what they will always be able to help! Lots of babies are born with cords around the neck, including mine! He is nearly 9 weeks now and is perfect! We didn't know it was like this unroll he popped out!! Don't worry yourself! :o) x

At my 20 week scan, the scan showed the cord was under my wee ones neck. My midwife told me not to worry too much but if he wasn't as active one day to call them straight away. I'm having another scan at 28 week to see if he has moved or not as was still head up at that point anyway. But according to midwife it's not uncommon for them to have cord under their neck, and that they usually riggle free. I wouldn't worry until told to do so so try not to panic too much x
