I had my coil removed on the 15th August & I still havent had a period. I want to try for a baby!
give it time ur body is now adjusting to not having the coil in, if u find out ur pregnant u give them the first day of ur last period so for example I assume it wud b july for u at some point. it might take ur body a little bit of time, when I came off my pill my body was a bit scatty for about 2 months, obv everyones different but it might not happen straight away or u might b one of the lucky ones
Its all in time yeah!
Ive personally never had the coil but i did have the "Implanon" implant in my arm for 3 yrs after the birth of my son.
I believe it took about 3-4months for my body to get back to normal as my periods also stopped for 2 & a half yrs & im now 30+ wks pregnant with my 2nd child.
Im guessing your period will make a return ( soon enough) but if not its also fine.

I had the coil in and had mine taken out while having a colposcopy due to abnormal smear. My periods were irregular for a while and eventually settled back. once u have ur period after removal u should start trying then and keep note of ur first day on until u get pregnant. That way u can see patterns immerging. mine ended up every 28days without fail and i knew i had to be pregnant when i was late by 3-4days. positive preggo test and im now 18weeks
Be patient and u'll get there. ur body needs time to adjust as the hormones are now body controlled rather than being administered. good luck and i hope it happens quickly for u xx
What coil did u have the merina? Or copper? The Merina will take a little while for the hormones to get out of ur system. . Not Sure about Copper. .. but give urself at least a month to have a period is only been just over 2 weeks. .. start taking pregnacare pre conception is a great vitamin supplement and relax. All the best
I was on Merina and it was a good few months before I settled down into a regular pattern - 40 days for my first period and another 37 before my second. To be honest, they were erratic for about 6 months, then came like clockwork. So frustrating, I know, but you might well find yours settle down sooner. Do keep a note though - it's impossible to remember otherwise, and it's so useful to know what's going on. I'd agree that it's best to wait until you've had a period before trying. And yes, you should start taking folic acid now, if you're not already. Good luck!
Hi, I had my coil taken out Jan 2012 it was also a Merina. I didn't have a period for about 6 weeks and then when I did get it it lasted for about 2 months. I was then pretty erratic for next few months but eventually settled into a proper cycle again. I had had my coil in for over 7 yrs(well had obviously had 2 different ones in that time) and Dr told me the longer it is in for the longer it takes people for things to settle back down. I am now 7+5 weeks pregnant at last so has been a long haul for me. Good luck with it all, I would also suggest you wait until after your first period before you start trying but know how hard that is xxx
