Throat infection

Have woke up this morning feeling really rough....had a sore throat in the night, my boys have had it...I thought I'd escaped it, can't believe how crap I feel...throat isn't red but looks like tiny spots on tonsils....has any one else been poorly and what did u do? Don't think there is any point to go drs as they are not inflamed

had sore throat in second trimester and it stretched all the way to 10 days, drink lots of ginger and honey tea (but it can also get you constipated).

Strepsils (ginger and honey ones again) sooth me well.

and probably a warm oil message around your throat area might also be useful.

White Spots on tonsils suggests Tonsilitis, in most cases that a trip to GP for antibiotics. Sorry Hun don't know that cold remedies are gonna shift this. It might only get worse xx

Ps My local boots pharmacist would not 'ok' me to buy Strepsils, all I could do for a resent chesty cough and basic sore throat was honey/lemon drinks, paracetamol and Halls Soothers. Xx

Hi hun . Poor you I echo cheekymonkey3791 if spots are white and puss looking does definitely sound like tonsillitis, ive had it many times its horrible but if you can get appt at gp's they will sort you with penicillin which is ok during pregnancy. Feel better soon xx

Oh no!!!that must be painful and annoying i've had it but it was red only.all i've done was drinking plenty of hot honey and lemon to soothe my throat.it helped but i ended up having a heartburn.if you've got white spots already then i'm afraid its a trip to doctors for you xx

I wud say gp and antibiotica with spots on tonsils! Feel better soon xx
