I can't wait now

39 weeks now first baby I haven't even felt a single twinge!cant wait to hold my princess but no Brixton hicks etc don't even know what they feel like!!i would like to experience a 'show' my waters breaking, labour pains asap!!! booked for a sweep at 40weeks hopefully things will get started then.

Ooo really nothing whatsoever, you must have felt you tummy going tight but probably didn't registrar it as a Toni Braxton ... I'm 39.4 I've got a sweep on Tuesday so I'm hoping that will trigger me off . With my first I had a show around 41 weeks with my second 41.1 after a sweep but on.y at 4-5cm dilated. Not had anything that would resemble a show yet was getting a few Braxton hicks over last two weeks and now they died down again. Bummer. Can't wait either I don't know what I'm having x

I know exactly how you feel, isn't it awful! This is my first and I've had nothing either. I keep looking online for early signs just to give me something to look for! I'm 39+1 and have a sweep booked in for Wednesday. I think it's early cos she seems to be a big girl! Ouch! Isn't it funny, I've been so worried of the unknown and the birth for ages and now I'm willing for just a little something, even a bit of pain just to give me a sign!! Good luck, I hope she comes soon!x

Good luck to you too !! Well jealous you are having a sweep at 39 weeks my midwife couldn't do it she said I have to wait till 40 weeks!i hear its uncomfortable but every pain at this moment is well worth it.x

Well she was measuring bigger than expected for the second time so had to go for a growth scan. They estimated she was already 8lbs+2 at 37 weeks so think that's why I get my sweep early. I hope she hasn't grown too much in the last couple of weeks, everyone keeps saying how big I am, it's enough to keep your legs crossed!! Maybe that's my problem!!x

Good luck ladies, 40+6 today and no signs what so ever, some Brixton hicks but husband and I are getting a little frustrated at the waiting, still it will be worth the wait, I will be 41+2 at my sweep. My midwife said it wasn't as uncomfortable as a smear, besides Insuspect the discomfort will be nothing compared to labour! Still ladies it will all be so worth it o hold our babies and look into their eyes!

Aaw you must be really frustrated I've got a feeling I will go over then induction! Nothing we can do but wait!! Good luck with the sweep!! X
