40 + 3 pains

Hi all im 40 weeks and 3 days and ive got a very bad pressure down below, it feels heavy and i can bearly walk and also my back hurts

Any advice please

Sounds Like starting of labour to me give labour Ward a call just to let them know and keep mobile as possible! !! Oh exciting stuff! Hopefully It have a show or ur waters may go. ..x

Thats what they said but ive had no contractions or anything x

I agree with babymother's comment, yes it sounds like your body's getting started for labour. Yipppeee . Just as well as i can imagine you were starting to think how long are you going to be waiting now.

Is this your 1st child ? if so i'd ring the maternity unit (of the hospital you've chosen to give birth) & tell them what's happening.

If its not your 1st try & wait it out (just for a few hours) & see if you progress further for etc.... Losing the show, or breaking of waters

Good luck, sounds like the beginning of labour-lucky you! Talking to my midwife it is not uncommon not to have a show and my friend's waters didn't break until ten minutes before she gave birth. Hope all goes well! X

Don't jump the gun, I'd say. It sounds like you're little one is just dropping down further if it's just the pressure you say. You'll know when it's actual labour pains. But we're not medics, so call your midwife/hospital to be on the safe side x
