Thanks babymother, I'm here lol

First of all don't give up, I'm currently holding my nine day old little boy George :) seven years of trying and one miscarriage!

In very short here is a list of things I did the last two times to get pregnant naturally, I'm not a doc but have researched Pcos for years, and the relation of insulin resistance.

If you are overweight, you must lose all of this weight, harsh I know but weight is a massive issue with Pcos and hormone production.

If you smoke and drink alcohol regularly, stop! With Pcos you must be as pure as possible, your hormones are sooooo sensitive.

If up drink caffeine, cut down to one cup of coffee per day or two teas a day, NO fizzy drinks at all, and NO energy drinks, these have an adverse reaction on your metabolism for people with Pcos.

Carbohydrates must be limited, ie, no more than two slices of bread a day, small portions of pasta and potatoes,. A short version of the reason behind this is people with Pcos often have insulin resistance, the key to managing this is a low carb diet.

Exercise, go for it, be very fit, walk, swim you name it! This helps balance hormones, helps reduce insulin resistance:)

Take a high dose of B12, folic acid and Omega 3, take baby aspirin 75mg daily( helps prevent miscarriage, but increasing the blood supply to the uterus and also helps the placenta) and a high dose of evening primrose oil( stop this when you ovulate and become pregnant)

If you are very overweight and do not have periods you need to ask your doctor about going Onto metformin, have a read about this drug it is very good and also helps with insulin resistance.

Husband should be on folic acid, zinc and selenium, to make sure he has max sperm :)

Do not use any oils when having sex.

There is alot of info here, but it's what I believe in and read and researched :) good luck

Hi,

I have pcos and had two children with fertility treatment.

I am now pregnant at age 43 naturally after looseing 5 stone and looking at the advice given above i was doing most of the things on there like cutting out fizzy drinks ,exercising etc.

I had no intention of getting pregnant in fact i assumed i couldn't so this has been a massive shock but it was due to all the changes i had made.

Good luck
