Has anyone had experience of DVT in pregnancy? How did this change your antenatal care?
Well I hadn't had that problem but a friend of mine had it and she was hospitalize for quite a long time in the hospital, she was in wheel chair all this time, she was there for about four months until she had the baby but she did make a full recovery. It's a very dangerous thing to have so if you suspect that you are either pron to have it or may have, make no mistake, get yourself to the hospital A.S.A.P. blood clot is never a good sign.
Thanks for your reply. I was diagnosed with a dvt at 10 weeks and I was treated promptly with clot busting drugs with ongoing heparin and compression hosiery. As it happens the treatment revealed I have a rare congenital abnormality and my veins are wonky so I'm quite a high risk. I'm well in myself I just want to be looked after properly by obs/gynae. Now 20 weeks and I'm really pleased to say that the scan today showed the baby is healthy and growing well, so I'm truly thankful for that.
