Small travel systems

Hi guys,

This isn't a health related question but I was wondering if anyone could help. I have a Citroen C1 and my partner & I can't afford to buy a new car with a little one on the way so we need a really small travel system that will fold & fit preferably in the boot but possibly in the passenger seat.

Any ideas??

Thanks :-)

I have the peogeot 107 which I think is the same as you car. I have bought the mamas and papas Luna. It fits in the boot without the parcel shelf and you can buy adapters so that the mamas and papas or maxi cosi car seat can also be attached. I have also bought a carry at that goes with it from eBay. Really happy with it and can't wait till splodge gets here so she can use it.

Yeah it is the same size. I didn't think there was any chance I'd be able to get one to fit in the boot! Will have a look. Thank you :)

The staff took it took it out to my car to test. I did it on two separate occasions just to be sure :-)

my friend has a mini and she has the quinny zapp xtra which u can put the maxi cosi car seats on, I am looking at this as I have a new shape corsa and the boot is very narrow but knowing tht this fits in a mini and it can be used from birth till 3yrs and Is very reasonable price wise. just go somewhere where u can park outside and try them in ur car x

I have Fiat 500 (smallest boot ever) and the quinny Zapp Xtra fits. Also google travel system for small boots and you can read lots of people's opinions and experiences.

I have the mamas and papas sola. Whilst your little one is under 6 months you'd use the car seat so only frame in boot. You can also always take the seat unit out and put in the passenger seat or lie it flat over the chasis. How much smaller is your boot to a ford focus?

Quite a lot smaller - almost non-existent! Think I might drive over to mamas and papas, mother care & toys r us and try some different ones in the boot.

Thanks for all your help guys :)

Hi!

We bought a brand new Alfa Romeo Mito in November, i was pregnany at the time but didnt know! its a very compact 3 door, ok boot space but not amazing!! we ended up with the Quinny Zapp Xtra. folds to a teeny tiny size, lays flat and tou can make it like a carry cot with a lovely cosy foot muff. then we got the maxi cosi car seat.

Word of advice check which car seats fit the car 1st. Our back seatbelt is too short to fix a car seat thats not on an isofix base!

I love my Quinny though good price, light and easy to push!

x
