For me my bump does change too, it depends on the way baby boy lays, if the weather is hot I seem to swell a little bit, bloating some days a lot! And of course if I eat a lot lol
Don't worry about this I really think its all the things above! As long as your not leaking amniotic fluid.
ok worrying again now, could the amniotic flud be confused with discharge as that has increased over the past few days, i thought it was normal but slightly concerned i have this confused now
Hun. Have mailed you about amniotic fluid, please don't worry xxxx
I'm 16 weeks and I think my bump is Def smaller as I was so bloated to begin with. .. like sky blue Boston said baby's position how much u have eaten had a big part to play and water retention! ! My bump looks lovely in the morning by evening its Def grown! X
I am 20 weeks and one day. I've been measuring my bump on a regular basis to record in my pregnancy diary. It can vary by 1.5 inches which i guess is due to the way baby is lying and what type of food i have eaten. I've noticed also that my bump is not symmetrical and bulges in different places during the week!
Have you been weighing yourself at the same time of the day? Weight can vary by a couple of pounds during the day, so i really wouldn't worry about it.
I'm exactly a week ahead of you and my tummy is still getting bigger and smaller all the time! I look much more pregnant in the evening - like the ladies have said, baby's position, bloating, fluid retention, even wind can be to blame so try not to worry.
You are almost certainly not leaking amniotic fluid - generally you would know if you were. Discharge does increase lots in pregnancy (aren't we lucky!), amniotic fluid is thin like water and also has a distinctive smell. If you start soaking through pads, or thinking you've wee'd yourself then call your midwife.
Glad to hear you're feeling more positive, keep healthy
