Can i take lemsip when 12 weeks pregnant, i can't speak to my doctor due to bank holoday

Any advice would be great. I've got an aweful cough and sore throat and i cant get to see or speak to anyone. Plus all shops are now shut any help would be brilliant

My midwife said not to when I had my 8 week check up lemsips or throat sweets just paracetomols. I dont know what is safe for you to take really.

I was told just paracetamol, which I don't think does an awful lot. U cud make ur own mixture, just get a lemon, some honey and bit of ginger and put it in hot water mix it all together. me and my bf both had colds and coughs and he was takin everythin to get rid of his and I just left mine and mine went before his. x

Lemsip had a decongestant in it which don't think u can take in pregnancy. .. Have a nice warm Bath keep door shut so steam builds up. . Honey and lemon in hot water will soothe ur throat. . Have u got a tesco express or something like it? And just paracetamol, horrible when u feel ill and ur pregnant. . Hope you feel better x

Paracetomol is fine, use a mouth wash for a sore throat such as oraldene brilliant for sore throats :). Use vix in a bowl of hot water, towel over the head great for a stuffy nose

Thanks, only reason im considering trying to get rid is because its causing Coughing fits on a night
