So.. Just found out I am pregnant following a miscarriage in February, so I'm both excited an anxious at the same time!

Has anyone in the same position been able to go to the early pregnancy unit before their first scan for peace of mind? Very scared at every twitch and cramp I get

I was in the same place you are emotionally with this pregnancy, so scared things might go Wrong again.

In my area they have the acorn clinic, for reassurance scans, I had one at Seven weeks, plus I booked a few private scans now happily 32 weeks 3 days pregnant

I was in the same position so had early private scans. One at 7.5 weeks and then again at 9 weeks. Each scan was £95 but well worth it for peace of mind. I'm now 22 weeks. Wishing you lots and lots of luck x

NHS seem very reluctant to scan early unless you have had multiple miscarriages or they think you are ectopic. I miscarried twins last year so I've booked a private early scan for 8 weeks. Hopefully that will reassure me cos I'm a bag of nerves at the moment! The website I used was ultrasound direct x

Hiya EmBee, I was in exactly the same boat as you, it is such an anxious time. I had a mc in dec and then found out on the 7th March that I was 7w pregnant. I went private for an early scan and it cost £95. It seemed to take forever to get to the 12w mark so just wanted peace of mind that the baby was actually in their and its heart was beating.

I would deffo reccommend it for peace of mind and you get a few pics from the scan to stare at when you are in doubt.

I had my coil removed Jan this year and fell pregnant immediately but lost it feb then feel staight away agin and now I'm 11wks. Had scan at 6 wks to confirm dates and due my next scan in 2wks and 5 days. Hope all works out for you. I did worry and had pains plus bleeding so I know how anxious you feel. Good luck xxx

I had two miscarriages within 6 months of each other and when I told my doctor I was pregnant she arranged an early scan. I knew nothing about it until the appt came through. It was so reassuring to have this early scan. I am now 31 weeks and everything is going well. Good luck x
