Had endometrial cancer 13yrs ago..had 28 radiotherapy & 2 brachytherapy treatments. Have since been diagnosed with prd & bam. Last couple of years had thrombin burning itch in rectal area which doc thought was haemorrhoids but coloniscopy found none, had a polyp removed. Am now awaiting colorectal appt & am currently using gnt ointment which isn't really helping. Anyone else had similar? Doctor thinks it may be anal fissures or fistula.

rectal/ anal itching is one of the symptoms of anal cancer. Did MD do any biopsies or colonoscopy?
Hello. Me too. Womb cancer 5 years ago, with surgery and three sessions of brachytherapy. Unfortunately, the brachy irritated some existing rectal polyps right at the base of the anus. They are in such an awkward place that I have to go to Cheltenham to see a specialist who deals with tricky anal polyps. Unfortunately, the last time he removed them, he said next time we would have to discuss a stoma bag as there is little left of the anal passage to shave the polyps away. I'm bleeding again, and using Scheraproct ointment as gnt doesn't suit me.
