2020 promises to be yet another GREAT year as I live an active and fulfilled life in my 26th year post heart transplant thanks to my donor those many years ago. A few years back I found myself feeling handicapped due to knee and hiip pain. After reconstructive surgery (so amazing what they can do for us these days, rebuilding one part at a time) I was young once again. Its time to fix that other knee this year, if in time maybe making it possible to participate in the local NJ based Transplant Games this July (after missing the last two Games due to those issues and other family challenges, having enjoyed 10 Games in the years prior to that absence). Already have some unique events planned for this new year, one to participate on a panel in SanFrancisco, thoe other as a speaker for a NYC conference, along with the usual public speaking to promote organ donation especially for some scheduled for the annual donate life month this April. Yes, 2020 is an exciting year to come and I pray that those reading this will find it the same in their own post-transplant (or waiting for that transplant) lives. Looking forward to meeting you at the Games in July.
