My connection to transplantation is as an advocate promoting registration as an organ donor, sharing the success of transplantation to inspire that registration. I serve as a leader in several organ donation/transplant organizations such as TRIO (Transplant Recipients International Organization), UNOS/OPTN, and the Gift of Life Donor Program (our local OPO) among others. With a long-lasting and very successful heart transplant 25+ years ago, this advocacy service is my way of giving back in grateful action to my heart donor, Roberto Cuebas.
