Thank you for the pictures - only 30 mins by train for us but like looking at a different world. Longing for 17th May to get up to the museums and art galleries again and we have tickets for the shard which were a christmas present in 2019! luckily the use by date has been extended.
Me too- I'd been planning to revisit the galleries and museums last year.I also can't wait for concerts and theatres to start up again- my two big passions πEnjoy your trip to the Shard when you finally get thereππ°
Not sure about theatres yet but just before lockdown we went to the V@A and it was virtually empty - the staff were so friendly and so pleased to see us. Not long before that we went to Tate Britain and my husband took the proverbial by telling me I couldn't have coffee as the cafe was full - we were the only ones in there! Shard hopefully some time in May but not first week. I shall take photos - intrigued to know what the Ladies with the view will be like!!!
I really regret not going anywhere when I could last year, although as I'd been shielding I was too scared!!!Never mind - hopefully this year in the not too distant futureππ°
I hope so. My brother used to come and stay with me a lot before he had the kids and we were always up in London . He's said he's going to come down for a long weekend as soon as he can and we're going to have a big trip down memory lane. I just wish I could go to Italy this year.
The wall is incredible. So moving. A beautiful tribute, and really brings home the reality of covid.I must go up there and have a look. Thank you for posting the pictures and linkπ
It's photos like these that make us appreciate the beautiful capital city that we have and such a moving tribute to the victims of covid β₯οΈThankyou Barry π
Yes thanks for the link. It is such a special way of remembering people. Sometimes drive up as I have a blue badge so on first visit I shall be asking my husband to drive past so I can have a look and be thankful that none of our relatives have died.

HiLove all your photos Barry, thank you!! I've been on the London Eye once and I wouldn't get up off the seat because me and heights don't go hand in hand π€£ππ€£π
The wall is a very fitting tribute to the victims of covid. Makes me realize how lucky I am that we haven't lost anyone to this horrible disease. How can anyone still think it's still not real. I don't know how some people's minds work.
