Out on the trail...

β€’29 Replies

Thought I'd share this.

Not far from my place.

Vintage shack. On an adjacent lot not far from my cabin. Neighborhood lore has it that this has been around since the 70's.

I don't recall what it's original use was.

I think it makes a cool " rustic " setting."

Are there a lot of birds near the cabin?πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸŒˆ

β€’ in reply toActivity2004

Yes. You could say thatπŸ˜‰ Typical of Chaparral and Conifers. A wide variety of both . Convergent zone of the mountains. As well as the assorted critters.

This is part of the trail. About half of a mile from the previous pic of the cabin.67 degree up slope from this point. About 50 to 70 ft to the top. Who needs a treadmill for aerobics when you have this within walking distance. πŸ˜ƒ

Oh goshhhhh it’s an elliptical Mr. Tao not treadmill πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ which I don’t recommend. Elliptical machine allows full range of motion for your entire legs without damaging any joints and you can work on your arms too. I can still exercise, keep Sonya company, watch my show and interacting with my HU friends with perfect internet connection. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Nice trail though where you at but it’s for another day when I feel like hiking πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ‘

Hi LL,

Yes. I used to love long, long walks. Your trail is beautiful, and reminds me.

I can no longer walk, but I can remember.

I think that looks really beautiful Lazaruslong! It has history and artistic merit. I love it! I think it would make an excellent framed picture!

Luckily I'm familiar with the history and the builder..I can't recall what he told me it's original purpose was.

Nice I love rustic πŸ€—πŸŒ›β

original use??? isn't it obvious?????

that's the love shack - i'll bet it's 15 miles to the highway... the love shack is a little old place where we can get together..... love shack baby!!!!!

a love shack!

:) ;-) 8-)

β€’ in reply to13ga

It was actually the home of a guy that was estranged from his family and wanted to get some space. It was built in the early 1970's.

hmmm "estranged from his family" vs "love shack".....

aren't we saying the same thing??? ;-)

"built in the early 70's" (ie: immediately after and during hippie free love)

now - you're redundantly agreeing with me!!! 8-)

Dang! I have to be more careful πŸ˜†

Love this place, I am so envious.

β€’ in reply to

Thanks. I didn't mean for anyone to actually be envious.. just sharing my good fortune.

Not a problem, it is envy in the most delightful way. I am happy for you.

β€’ in reply to

Thank you. It's been a long strange trip to get here. But here I am! I love it!

Looks like a log cabin, that’s so cool!
