Sorry to hear that Pixie. I think it's a sign of the times to be quite honest, I know several people who feel the same too. Hope you pick up soon. xx

I had been ever so upset a couple of weeks ago over cancelled events and that silly this morning program didn't help when they claimed Christmas is supposedly cancelled which is a load of crud!

It seems to me that whatever comes out on the TV and news programmes is just tosh!

i have stopped watching the news and reading newspapers,as i swear the biggest problem we have is the press and media making things up as they go along.

I’ve done a lot of crying this afternoon and just can’t seem to put things in to perspective if that makes sense.. I don’t want to be a burden to anyone with what’s going on in my mind

in reply toPixie74

Sometimes things feel better once they are shared and out in the open

Pixie you are not a burden! Thank heavens we can be here to support you! So many people feel the same way. The people here will always rally around you!

I think it is a sign of the times. I can't sit still for two minutes at a time. Can't sleep at night as my mind is in overdrive, worrying about what will come back in my scalp cancer biopsy results, plus all the pain that is flairing due to extra worry and stress. I find keeping busy keeps my mind occupied to an extent and that does help a bit , other than that listening to favourite music maybe or finding a good boo to read. Whatever, know you are in good company and offloading on here sometimes helps too, realising you are not alone with your feelings will be of some reassurance. Take care and stay safe, xx

Sorry to hear that Pixie. Can we help you in any way?

Struggling with some emotional stuff, then that makes my fibro worse then the tears come cos of the pain x

Troilus profile image
Troilus in reply toPixie74

I struggled badly with cfs/me for 5 years, but luckily I escaped the fibro, but I do understand how painful that can be. And, like cfs/me there are no answers. Just hope.

I found that hoping for improvements in the future, not tomorrow, helped a little bit with the despondency that comes with it, but like I say, I escaped the pain.

Have you found anything that helps?

in reply toPixie74

I've got fybromyalgia and I'm finding that my pain and anxiety, fear and brain fog are all really bad! I can barely function at the minute we're all here if you need to talk xx

Aww Pixie,

Darling you aren’t a burden to us. It’s ok to admit you are struggling and asking for help and reaching out when you need takes courage. Lots of us can relate to some of your troubles. If you want to share some of the things in your head that’s ok but also it’s not a problem if you are unable to do that.

Sending love and a very gently hug xxx

Pixie74 in reply toNarwhal10

I just don’t know where to start.. I put on a front I’m good at hiding how I really am doing.. I feel like if I open up it’s a burden it’s horrible xx

Narwhal10 profile image
Narwhal10 in reply toPixie74

first there is never any judgement here. Yes I can relate to the front - most of us do but here is a safe place for you to be open and honest if you feel comfortable doing that.

Maybe one of the easiest things for people with ill health is to say I’m frustrated or angry, sad, fed up with not being able to walk or whatever properly or You are struggling to manage your pain- it really gets me down. 🤗

in reply toPixie74

I think we can all worry that we might be a burden at times and so we hide how we're really feeling and imo that's because fibro is such a complicated and misunderstood condition, so hard to explain! On here we all understand that there will be days when we don't even have the energy or the incentive to drag ourselves out of bed or speak to anyone even eat! You've come to the right place to find people who really do understand how hard it can be to live with fibro please keep in touch xx

Take care Pixie we are all here for you, I am so sorry you are having such a difficult time, sending you a big virtual hug🙆‍♀️X.

I am just watching a lovely programme on the TV BBC 2 called The River Wye - it’s lovely, you might find it could help relax you a little bit,

Thinking of you 💐

Take care,

Shirley

Hi

I'm so sorry you are feeling like this. There is always someone on here to help. Have you got someone you can talk to. I'm sure they would say you aren't a burden. I have fibromyalgia as well as other conditions too.

Do you manage to get any sleep?

My son has persuaded me to take cbg and CBD . Jerry suggested magnesium and vitamin d as they help to absorb things. My son said the cbg and CBD sort of detach you from the pain. As they start wearing out my pain comes back with avengence!! I seem to be having s few hours every other night rather than one hour or less every night.

You can pm me anytime.

Love and hugs Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗🌈💜

Hi Pixie74, I also suffer from chronic pain conditions. It is tough and it is very different for everyone but one thing for sure, an increase in stress levels will lead to an increase in your pain levels and flares in your conditions. This is something that has also been seen through research with fMRI scans of the brain. So, it's just not you thinking everything feels worse, there is actually something occurring biologically and chemically within the body. So, you need to concentrate and focus on getting those stress levels down. How, this is the 6 million dollar question. It's trial and error. Try anything and everything to distract. We know as chronic pain sufferers it is very complex to treat. we know it is long term and is not going away. A lot of the time we have to become our own teacher's to manage the conditions. You sound as if you are in a bad flare at the moment, so the good news is, it will ease. Always revisit your GP if your pain is out of control, just in case they can help and it will also be logged in your medical notes. The GP has a duty of care to try to manage your pain or refer you on to a specialist if they do not have the skills. The Pain Toolkit is quite good and is recommended by the pain clinics. There are many free apps for guided meditation, which can be quite good also. Hope you feel better soon. 😊🌸

I feel ALL those things TOO, and eating till I throw up. How I get though things is to tell myself I could die? When I go out to run errands I’m so anxious to get home That I Black out and forget things like my groceries and I’ve paid for gas then forget to pump it. I’ve had to deal with Serious things and honestly can’t remember what happened. I had a break down waiting to have tires, dealing with things isn’t EASY. I haven’t done laundry in months. I’ll go buy more clothes and wear the same pants/shorts over and over. Iam in counseling sometimes it’s Good and other times Not? Are You in counseling? 🙏😷

Oh I feel bad for you. What you are experiencing is beyond a fog. I am glad you are getting help. Making a list and checking off things I have done helps to keep organized and also makes me aware I have accomplished the task.

When you check it off you can feel good about your self and start a new list for the next day.

😊

Thanks for your support, I keep List and Notes but I forget to check my list and notes? It Scares me because Dementia runs in my family 3 close related females have died from it, one of them is a twin sister to my mom who has dementia too. Waiting for the phone call. They say it can be hereditary. I tell doctors my history, they tell me it’s getting old ? So no one will give me a referral to a specialist? 🙏😷

It's kind of like having CLL we can waste what good days we have worrying or enjoy what we have. I know easier said than done but still we can find things to enjoy.
