RADIATION Begins

Hi Pinstripes, I see that you were fairly recently diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer and I'm sure you must be generally anxious about how your treatment will go. Common side effects of radiation treatment are skin soreness, tiredness, (sometimes with nausea and/or diarrhoea, urinating more frequently, possibly with some burning sensation and appetite changes due to any nausea. As such it's probably better to stick to smaller, lighter meals around treatments when you may not feel like eating so much.
Your one session of brachytherapy probably won't produce too many side-effects. There are quite a few that can occur, not always commonly, but in any case, it seems silly to anticipate those as you are just starting out on your treatment and your brachytherapy will be at the end.
I'd just like to wish you well and hope your therapy will be of help.
Thinking of you and wishing you well.
Agree with the comments given.
Also eat a little of what appeals to you-homemade soups that are easy to make ,healthy and freeze well for when you don't fancy eating a full meal, some folk find helpful.

Eat as healthy as you can. Avoid sugar. Good luck. Sorry you have this to deal with 💚
