I’m in the process of downloading the box set of the very first Downton Abbey drama..... and will continue until the very last episode ever, which was christmas special 2019!
I'm not sure what the licence is for either or why companies pay so much to advertise for us to receive so many repeat programs. But still good value for money I guess. I am doing jigsaws plus wearing my fingers out on keyboards?? Its a long day when you are alone and not able to go out & thats not a complaint its a fact. Hopefully TV will improve again in the coming months or I will have to resort to films on my prime delivery service which also costs money. Enjoy your day
Hi Picklepickle, I've been quite lazy with reading lately, and the usual cause with me is the lack of a riveting book. If one swallows me up, I'll abandon TV to finish it, and stay awake for the night. I've just got rid of lots of books that just didn't engage me enough to make me want to concentrate on reading them. The other thing that draws me to too much TV is the fact that I fall asleep far too easily and it doesn't really matter in front of the TV. After all it's sure to be repeated next week, or be available on catch-up. But if you drop asleep over a book, you are apt to lose your place and end up reading chapter 3 six times!
I'm so looking forward to getting into a proper bookshop again and not relying on online purchasing of books I think I like and then hate!
Meantime I think it's just as well I've paid my TV licence! 😊
Our library has just been revamped I'm lucky but I also subscribe to magazine when there on offer at a pound for six issues then cancel and repeat!!
